Jade Textile Champions a Culture of Giving and Volunteerism: "People First" – An Inspiring Educational and Humanitarian Journey in Egypt

For the second consecutive year, and as part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility, Jade Textile organized a series of impactful events under the banner of "People First in Different Geographies" in Egypt. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Yeşim Group (Turkey), the ÇEKVAK Foundation, and the 10th of Ramadan Official Language School (GLS), with the aim of raising awareness among high school students about volunteerism, active citizenship, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The project kicked off at Jade Textile’s Cairo factory with the participation of key company executives and representatives from educational and social development institutions, including Mr. Şenol Şenkaya, CEO of Yeşim Group; Eng. Mohamed Samih, General Manager of Jade Textile Cairo; Ms. Dilek Cesur, Head of Corporate Communications at Yeşim Group; and Mr. Moataz Abou Bakr, Corporate Communications Manager at Jade Textile Egypt.

Over four days, students took part in a blend of theoretical workshops and hands-on experiences. Activities included awareness sessions on social inclusion, human rights, and civic engagement, as well as field visits to Jade’s factories in Cairo and Ismailia, and to the Egyptian Food Bank, where students helped pack aid boxes.

The program concluded with a heartfelt visit to a local orphanage, where students presented handmade gifts created from recycled materials—a touching gesture that reflected creativity, empathy, and the true spirit of giving.

Through this initiative, Jade Textile reaffirms its commitment to educational empowerment and nurturing a generation of socially conscious youth capable of creating a meaningful and lasting impact in their communities.
