Over 110 Students Complete Jade Textile’s Summer Internship Program — A Step Toward Youth Empowerment and Aligning Education with Labor Market Needs

Jade Textile has concluded the 2026 edition of its Summer University Internship Program, with more than 110 students from Egyptian and international universities participating across the company’s sites in Cairo, Alexandria, and Ismailia. The program forms part of Jade Textile’s ongoing efforts to support youth development and strengthen the connection between education and labor market needs.

Participating students came from Alexandria University, Ain Shams University, Helwan University, Zagazig University, Suez Canal University, Badr University, the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, King Salman International University, and the Canadian University in Egypt.

Over the course of one month, students gained hands-on experience across various departments and sites of Jade Textile, providing them with first-hand exposure to an industrial work environment. The program enabled participants to engage with operational teams, develop professional skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the apparel and textile industry, as well as the skills and specializations required by the labor market.

The program is part of a broader approach to supporting youth employability and strengthening integration between education and the industrial sector. By providing students with practical experience in real-world work environments, such initiatives help equip young people with the skills required by industry while contributing to the development of Egypt’s vocational education and training system.

This initiative also aligns with the cooperation priorities discussed during a previous meeting between Jade Textile and the Ministry of Labor, chaired by H.E. Hassan El-Raddad, Minister of Labor. The meeting addressed a number of areas related to training and employability-focused development, reinforcing opportunities to prepare qualified talent capable of meeting the evolving needs of Egypt’s industrial sectors.

Practical training and vocational development programs play an important role in bridging the gap between educational outcomes and labor market requirements. By exposing students to real-world work environments, these programs help them better understand industry expectations, develop practical skills, and explore career pathways within the industrial sector.

The program concluded with a ceremony honoring the participating students and awarding them certificates of completion in recognition of their commitment and engagement throughout the internship. The experience provided participants with an opportunity to learn, gain practical skills, and explore the professional environment across Jade Textile’s sites in Cairo, Alexandria, and Ismailia.
